Race starts at 1:00 pm Pre-registration is strongly encouraged! Day of race registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 12:45 p.m. PLEASE BE ADVISED THE UNION STREET BRIDGE IS CLOSED - ACCESS TO THE RACE IS FROM THE NORWELL SIDE OF THE RIVER.

NEW THIS YEAR - PADDLE BOARDS AND SARA'S SWIM!

New to the race this year is a Paddleboard category and Sara's Swim for the Rivers. Sara Grady our own Watershed Ecologist is going to attempt to swim (yes swim!) not paddle the entire 7 mile race. She is doing this as a fundraiser for the NSRWA and to raise awareness about how important it is to keep our rivers swimmable! Please consider sponsoring Sara's Swim on your registration form!

Since 1991, the NSRWA has sponsored a Great River Race on the beautiful North River starting at the Union St Bridge in Norwell/Marshfield and ending at the Old Washington St. Bridge in Hanover/Pembroke.

All skill levels, from novice to racer, are invited to participate in the race that is approximately 6 ½ miles long. Non-motorized vessels including canoes, kayaks, rowboats, and rafts participate in the race piloted by people of all ages. (Participants 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.) The race is fun, challenging and a great way as an individual, or with friends and family, to enjoy the rivers and support the NSRWA. After the race an Awards Celebration is held, where trophies and ribbons are bestowed on the winners.
