NSRWA Annual River Clean Up Day
Since 1987, the NSRWA has sponsored a spring River Clean Up Day where volunteers come out by foot, truck or boat and scour the banks of the North & South Rivers and their tributaries to remove debris. Volunteers check in at one of the designated clean up stations, where station chiefs distribute empty garbage bags and plastic gloves, and take back any trash collected. The clean up participants are invited to attend a celebratory (free) cookout at the Scituate's Driftway Conservation Area.
