Walks in the Watershed

There are many beautiful places to go walking in our watershed. Click here for a map of some of our favorite places.

Check out this virtual tour of some of the conservation areas and launch sites on the rivers!

We also have a recreation guide/map to the watershed that shows you other conservation lands that you can take walks on and where you can put your boat in to paddle the rivers.  The guide is free when you become a member or $10 for purchase through our office.

The NSRWA sponsors walks throughout the year to introduce and reintroduce conservation lands to all ages!  Please check our website and quarterly newsletter for listings of upcoming walks and other outdoor activities.

Our walks are usually led by a volunteer naturalists on behalf of our organization to educate others on the nature of our watershed.  Many of our volunteers are professional naturalists and are incredible guides.  If you are a skilled naturalist and are interested in leading a walk please contact us!

Some of our walks require registration as they are limited in numbers and others, like our New Year's Day walk and Thanksgiving Day walk are not limited and don't require registration.

If you have younger children or you are 8-12 you might be interested in signing up for our Watershed Explorer's Club - an interactive club that teaches about water, rivers and watersheds while having fun, getting outside and earning points towards cool prizes!
