6:00 pm–9:00 pm
Mill Wharf Restaurant, Scituate
We are happy to welcome Chef, teacher and entrepreneur Abby Gray as a new participant in the 2017 Harvest Moon Feast. Cooking with Abby (CWA) is everything culinary! Chef Abby offers cooking classes and private lessons, for both adults and children, in her Norwell teaching kitchen. Abby also branches out into culinary adventures, etiquette, catering, dinner party planning, and wine dinners. Her monthly “Garden to Table” Dinners are wildly popular and are always being tweaked. Abby cooks with fresh, seasonal ingredients from her garden and Norwell Farms, and hosts fun and popular monthly tastings.
Relatively new to the area, Cooking with Abby has been based in Norwell since July 1, 2015. The mission of the business is “to help you entertain, discover the wide world of food – and help you to appreciate and understand food, taste, texture, nutrition, and sourcing of ingredients, while enjoying the time to cook.”
Chef Abby’s love of cooking and her entrepreneurial sprit resulted in her opening a small catering business with her sister when she was in her early twenties. After 20 years in the corporate world, she returned to her passion of sharing the world of food with others. Along the way, she opened a gift store and gourmet destination in Boston. Knowing she had to “just do food”, she received formal training as a chef at Boston University… and the rest is history!
Abby will be bringing her signature dishes to the Harvest Moon Feast on Monday, October 2 at the Mill Wharf in Scituate. All proceeds from this event directly support NSRWA environmental education programs which provide children and adults unique opportunities to engage in hands-on environmental science and to learn about protecting our waters.
So come spend an enjoyable evening with old friends and meet some new ones while supporting a good cause.
