Get Outdoors, Give Outdoors!

Give the gift of the outdoors, then join us for a walk on Black Friday! You can purchase NSRWA gift memberships online for friends and family, then come with us as we explore Marshfield’s John Little Conservation Area. Join longtime NSRWA Nature columnist Kezia Bacon to stroll through pasture land and forest to the North River and back (see photo). We will walk approximately 3 miles of trails (including a new one), pausing along the way to discuss the history of this section of town. Expect to learn about North River shipbuilding and salt haying, as well as the area’s agricultural and industrial past. Plus — see your Community Preservation funds in action. Many of the features of this property were made possible by Community Preservation funds. The terrain is uneven and wet in some places, so wear sturdy shoes. Some trails are narrow and steep. No dogs please.

The event is free, but you must register online. Click here to register.
