NSRWA Programs
River Watch Water Quality Testing
The NSRWA's annual River Watch Sampling Program has been in existence since 1994. Every year, volunteers monitor ten sites along the North and South Rivers for fecal coliform bacteria during the summer months.
The purpose of the program is to provide the public with information regarding which sections of the river are safe for recreational purposes, as well as helping our organization identity, and potentially eliminate sources of pollution in the rivers. During the summer, our water quality data is published in the local newspapers.
