The majority of DBMS’s programming takes place during the summer. This includes classes in sailing, rowing, powerboating, windsurfing, SUP & kayaking, and marine science. There are also educational speakers, yoga classes, and social events. The facility is available to rent for private events as well. It was founded in 1997.
This land is within the region of the Patuxet Wampanoag tribe, who for centuries have inhabited the area around the Jones River now known as Duxbury, Kingston and Plymouth.

A modern energy-efficient building houses accessible classrooms, an erg room, Clifford Hall, administrative and commercial offices, locker room facilities and a large garage. The rocking chairs on the back deck overlook Duxbury Bay, and are wonderful place to sit and relax. Tours available by request.
