Watching fireflies is a special part of warm summer nights in New England. We watch, we enjoy, but do we really know what they are saying. This program will shed a little light on the secret lives of fireflies. A discussion of the natural history of fireflies will be followed by a walk through a firefly meadow to observe fireflies in action. Join insect expert, Don Salvatore in a hunt for fireflies and learn what’s really happening in a firefly meadow.
Location – A Meadow at 1317 Union St., Marshfield. Dress for mosquitoes and bring insect repellent. Event is free, however, pre-registration is required.
