Janice McPhillips is a Farm and School Garden Educator at Holly Hill Farm in Cohasset, MA.  She teaches students on the farm and in school gardens around the South Shore of Massachusetts.  She’s been an avid vegetable and flower gardener for over 30 years and a composting enthusiast for just as long.  She has taught workshops about backyard and worm composting to adults and children at the farm, at schools and in the community.  Janice completed the URI Master Composter program in 2013 and the Trustees of Reservations’ Master Urban Gardener Program in 2015. Janice has been actively involved in school recycling and composting programs since she started a lunch scraps composting program at her children’s elementary school in 2001. Janice has been actively involved in the community, serving as a member of the Town of Hingham’s Cleaner Greener Hingham committee, formerly known as the Long Range Waste Disposal and Recycling Committee since 2011 and has served on the Green Committees of Plymouth River, Hingham Middle and Hingham High Schools.
