4th Annual Norwell Conservation Day

Family fun activities including hayrides, NSRWA kayak events, live music, food trucks, face painting, and more.
The NSRWA will be offering an informative booth and two kayak events.

11:30am – The NSRWA will run a guided kayak paddle open to the public.

2:00pm – The 1st Annual Jacobs Pond Kayak Regatta – Race information and REGISTRATION HERE

Whether you’re interested in learning about local conservation efforts, connecting with environmental organizations, or simply enjoying a fun day outdoors with family and friends, Norwell Conservation Day offers something for everyone. This free, family-friendly event celebrates conservation, nature, and the outdoors at the historic Jacobs Pond and Farm. Spend the day exploring interactive exhibits, meeting local organizations, and enjoying a variety of activities for all ages.

• Loco Larry’s Taco Truck – Food provided by Norwell Conservation for the first 100 people (while supplies last!!).
• Live Music – Come enjoy music from Joe Armstrong and his local students.
• Face Painting with Natali Eaton
• Hayrides around the Jacobs Farm Fields with Hornstra Farms
• 1st Annual Jacobs Pond Kayak Regatta – Hosted by Norwell Conservation and NSRWA, come race kayaks around Jacobs Pond. There will be two races starting at 2:00pm where top finishers will be able to compete in a final winner take all race with prizes for the top three finishers. Kayak and gear provided by NSRWA, spots are limited. Sign up and learn more with link above.
• North and South Rivers Watershed Association (NSRWA) – Take a nice kayak tour of the pond at 11:30am or stop by their table to learn about the Jacobs Pond Fish Laddar project.
• South Shore YMCA Nature Center – Get up close with the species that live in Jacobs Pond with their Edge of Pond, Hands on Ecology. This is great activity for young explorers.
• Mass Audubon – Join a nature walk through the woods and by the pond or stop by their table to learn more about the local ecosystem.
• FoxRock Farms – Visit their table to learn about the importance of natural habitats, pollination systems, & organic practices, purchase honey, or meet their 4H farm animals.
• Miranda’s Bakery – Purchase local baked good.
• Blue Stem Natives – Purchase some native plants and seeds that will help create wildlife friendly green spaces.
• Appalachian Mountain Club: Southeast Chapter – Learn more about their local outdoor activities, including conservation, hiking, biking, paddling, skiing, & more!
• WildCohasset.org – Learn about saving native plants & the wildlife that rely upon them.
• Norwell Historical Society – Learn more about the Jacobs Farmhouse, which turned 300 years old this year, and purchase one of their two new books.
• Norwell Recreation – Sign up and learn more about the many programs and activities offered for all ages.
• Four Corner Supply Co. – Providing the community with sustainable products & bulk options. Come learn more about their work and products.
• Norwell Police and Fire – Learn about fire and outdoor safety, come touch-a-truck, and more.
• Cross Street Flower Farm – Don’t forget to stop by the farm across the street for Dahlia Festival.
