Explore the Veterans Commemorative Town Forest in Pembroke with NSRWA! We’ll follow a trail through the woods and enjoy occasional views of Silver Lake, which is a headwater to the Jones River. While walking, participants will be encouraged to focus on the sights and sounds – and even the smells! – of the natural world. This hilly woodland trail is mostly wide, occasionally steep, and includes damp and/or bumpy sections. No dogs, please. (Distance: 1.5 miles) Park at Pembroke Community Middle School, 559 School Street, Pembroke.
