Buckman Park is a small, fenced-in playground for younger children, located in a neighborhood setting in Carver.

Features

This fenced-in playground features swings, slides and climbing structures for younger children, with grass and wood chips underfoot, plus some brick pathways. There is also a large gazebo/shade structure. Community Preservation funds supported this project.

This land is within the region of the Wampanoag. To learn more about local Native American tribes, we encourage you to interact with their members. The Mashpee Wampanoag and the Herring Pond Wampanoag share information on their websites.

Habitats and Wildlife

The playground is located in a quiet neighborhood and is surrounded with pine, oak and maple trees. The waters here flow to the Weweantic River. The Weweantic River rises from wetlands in Carver and flows through Middleborough and Rochester before emptying into Buzzards Bay in Wareham.
