Purple Dinosaur Playground

Also known as the Purple Dinosaur Play Area, this is a fenced-in, wheelchair accessible playground for younger children. It offers a play structure, swings, picnic tables, and several sand boxes, plus an array of dual-functioning play equipment, designed for both physically challenged and able-bodied children. There is also a baseball/softball field on the property.

If you’d like to take a walk while you’re in the neighborhood, visit the Ellis Estate Trails nearby.

This land is within the region of the Massachusett (or Massachuseuk). To learn more about local Native American tribes, we encourage you to interact with their members. The Mattakeeset band of the Massachusett, and the Massachusett tribe at Ponkapoag, both share information on their websites.

A grassy field surrounded by cedars and oaks. Located within the watershed of the Gulf River, which empties into the Atlantic Ocean at Cohasset Harbor.
