“Simply put, I love the North (and South) River any time of year, any time of day. There are not many things more beautiful than to experience the rivers early in the morning, late in the day, in storms or fog. Historically, the North River has always been important, from its days of Native Americans to shipbuilding to the present. The rivers are the backbone of our region and our shared legacy. The rivers and their marshes provide essential habitats and nutrients to native fish, wildlife, and plants. It’s important to have a voice to conserve these living resources which are critical to diverse fishing industries and recreational opportunities, and ground water supplies.”
