Explore Norwell’s Stetson Meadows

Sunday, February 3rd, 2019 1:00 pm–2:30 pm

With Kezia Bacon and Brian Taylor

Stetson Meadows is a 184-acre conservation parcel in Norwell with a rich history and some stunning views of the North River. Join Kezia Bacon and NSRWA’s Environmental Educator Brian Taylor on Super Bowl Sunday for a walk in the woods and along the salt marsh. We’ll discuss the evolution of this beautiful and varied property from forest, to farmland, to forest again. As well as explore the local flora and fauna through interactive family friendly ecology based activities. We’ll also review some local history along the way. Topics will include salt haying, North River shipbuilding, King Philips War, and the Cornet Robert Stetson family. A great walk for all ages! Meet at the Stetson Meadows parking area on Meadows Farm Way in Norwell (a dirt road that begins where Stetson Shrine Lane ends). No dogs please.

Admission is free, however, registration is required. Click here to register.
