Rick and his wife, Anne live on the Herring River in Scituate. While retired from corporate finance and insurance, Rick has a background in water testing as a citizen scientist, and fundraising; the latter experience is already of benefit to NSRWA. He is an avid fisherman, who regularly fishes with three of their four grandsons. When not fishing, he enjoys sailing and messing about on his NorthCoast fishing/cruising boat. He also has a US Coast Guard six-pack Captain’s License. Rick keeps his fishing boat on the Herring River, which gives him access to the North and South Rivers; so, it is natural that he advocates for this watershed, and the important role it plays as a critical ecological system.
