The NSRWA is committed to educating people to become stewards of the watershed. Children, especially, need to be engaged in learning to care for the rivers, because they will be inheriting what we leave them. The NSRWA has put a great deal of energy and focus into educational efforts. We have visited middle school classrooms, presenting special environmental curricula we created just for them. We have given presentations and made displays at fairs, family fun days, and even the mall. We have talked to girl and boy scouts, senior citizens, garden clubs, Lion’s Clubs —anywhere that we can educate people to love and care for the rivers.
