Voices of the Watershed: A Community Banner Project

Help create a community banner celebrating our watershed!

Celebrate the beauty and importance of the North and South River watershed by helping create a collaborative community banner that will be displayed at the North and South Rivers Watershed Association. Inspired by the Art Complex Museum’s exhibition Beneath the Surface, participants of all ages are invited to share their thoughts, hopes, and connections to the watershed ecosystem—and to the environment more broadly—through art.

There are three drop-in studio sessions during which community members are invited to contribute individual elements that will become part of one large banner. Attend one session or all three—every contribution helps tell the story of our shared landscape.

No artistic experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. This welcoming program is perfect for children, families, teens, and adults. Registration is requested to help us plan materials, though participants are welcome to drop in during the session.
