Wild rice (Zizana sp.), also known as Indian Rice is found on the slower flowing portions of the North River and Herring Brook River. It is a favorite food for many of the wildfowl that frequent the waterway. Come join us for a couple of relaxing hours as we paddle and float our way down the river collecting wild rice into our kayaks. As usual, kayak or canoe, PFD and whistles will be required. In addition, you might want to bring a container/cloth to capture the rice in and a camera is always a welcome addition. We will leave from the Hanover Canoe Launch. Space is limited to 8 kayaks or canoes.

Cost is $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers, which includes fee for ACA insurance waiver.
