Owned By: Town of Hingham

This multi-purpose park on Hingham Harbor features a beach for swimming, lawns, shade trees, a 0.25-mile brick walkway trail, seasonal restrooms and concessions, and a bandstand, plus interpretive signage about the area’s history. Home of the Hingham Farmers’ Market. Enjoy the spectacular views of Hingham Harbor and World’s End.

Features

Be sure to check out the informational kiosks along the 0.25-mile brick walkway, featuring “Hingham’s Evolving Waterfront,” and the local mackerel fishing industry. Known as the Harbor Boardwalk, this walkway was expanded in 2019 to its current terminus at the boat ramp parking area.

This land is within the region of the Massachuseuk (or Massachusett) Native American tribe.

Trail Description

A brick walkway extends along the shoreline for 0.25 miles — from the parking area to the northern edge of the property.

Habitats and Wildlife

This property is located at a beautiful spot on Hingham Harbor. While the beach may be the primary focus of the park, there are also large grassy areas with mature shade trees (oak, hemlock), and also some sumac and cedar. Please do not feed the waterfowl.
