Owned By: Town of Plymouth

Public boat ramp and small park with a paved/concrete walkway along Plymouth Harbor. Also the home of the Plymouth Harbormaster and the Plymouth Harbor Jetty. Appropriate for both trailer and car top boat launching (launch/parking fee applies to both). Stroller-friendly up to the start of the jetty.

It’s important to know that some of our fisheries are contaminated with mercury, PFAS and/or other concerning substances. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health maintains an online database with up-to-date advisories regarding fish consumption, sorted by location. We recommend you consult this valuable resource when planning a fishing excursion.

Features

There is a fee for parking and launching here. Parking is for vehicles towing boats ONLY (car-top and trailer, including kayaks). Look for the ticket machine next to the launch ramp. It accepts cash in $1s, $5s or $10s only. Recreational season passes, valid January through December, are also available from the town. Season passes are valid for the calendar year from January 1st to December 31st. Especially on summer weekends, the parking lot can fill up quickly. This also causes delays at the launch ramp. On busy days, there is often an attendant on duty.

There is a town parking lot next door (in front of East Bay Grill) where you can can if you’d like to walk on the jetty or along the water. Alternatives nearby for kayaks and paddleboards include Nelson Memorial Park and Stephens Field.

This land is within the region of the Wampanoag tribe. To learn more about our local tribes, we encourage you to interact with their members. The Mashpee Wampanoag tribe and the Herring Pond Wampanoag both share information on their websites.

Trail Description

A paved/concrete path extends along the water’s edge for 0.25 miles from the landward end of the Plymouth Harbor Jetty and through a small town park. The jetty itself is about 0.58 miles in length. Altogether, this makes for a pleasant walk! Within the park, be sure to check out the solar clock, which is visible from the walkway and marked with an informative sign.
