The NSRWA held their annual meeting on Sunday, November 2 with a full house at the beautiful JPH at Ferry Hill. We said goodbye to long-time board member Janet Fairbanks, and welcomed new board members, Rick Black, Peter Tyack, and Keith Walo. The staff shared highlights of their accomplishments during 2025, including the removal of the Veterans Memorial Park Dam in Marshfield, that allowed hundreds of fish to pass through this site for the first time in almost 400 years!
Volunteers were honored for their work with the organization, including; 2025 Citizen Science Volunteer of the Year Chris Howie, 2025 Volunteer of the Year Brenda Kozuch, and 2025 Barbara Pearson Memorial Award presented to the Town of Marshfield and their Veterans for their critical role in removing the first dam on the South River at Veterans Memorial Park.
A Special Recognition Award was awarded for a Decade of the NSRWA Pontoon Boat Program. Those honored were Charlie Naff, Paul Vercollone, Roht Marine, and Bill Boulter for their long-term commitment to this popular program.
