Join us for the inaugural paddle at the new South River canoe and kayak launch in Marshfield! This access point was recently created by the Town of Marshfield in partnership with the NSRWA and Good Will Hunters – all members of the Friends of the South River Park and Greenway – as part of a vision to further enhance public access to the South River in the downtown area of Marshfield. Long awaited, we are looking forward to sharing with you how to use the new launch, time the tide, and learn about this natural gem hidden behind the commercial areas of Rte 139. Participants must have some paddling experience and bring their own boat and gear. There are a limited number of boats available for those who do not have one. All attendees must have insurance (see below).

Parking: Drop off your boat or board at the trailhead behind CVS, and then move your car across the street to the municipal lot next to Levitate. Click here to see map.

Insurance: Proof of American Canoe Association insurance must be shown for all participants. Waivers are $5 per person and must be shown before paddle begins. Click here for online insurance waivers:

Please bring your signed waiver forms and $5 per person to the paddle. All participants must wear a life jacket.
