Indian Head River by Rob MacDonald.

The North and South Rivers Watershed Association (NSRWA) and the towns of Hanover, Hanson and Pembroke invite residents and others interested to learn more about the potential for reconnecting and restoring the health of the Indian Head River (IHR). This information session will be held via Zoom.

When: Thursday, March 30 at 7pm

What: Last year, the NSRWA received a grant to work with all three towns to determine the feasibility of removing the State St./Cross St. Dam (aka Indian Head Dam) and Luddam’s Ford Dam (aka Elm St. Dam aka Curtis Crossing Dam) in order to restore fish habitat on the Indian Head River.

There will be a short presentation on the project background and status, and representatives from the following boards and organizations will be available to answer your questions:

  • NSRWA
  • IHR Restoration Steering Committee
  • Project consultants
  • MA DEP’s Natural Resource Damages Program
  • MA Division of Ecological Restoration
  • MA Division of Fisheries & Wildlife

REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Please register using this link. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with information on how to join the webinar on Thursday, March 30 at 7pm.
