Get empowered to take action locally to make our water and the wildlife that we love more resilient to a changing climate! Through an exciting new partnership with the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Norwell’s Climate Action Team, we will lead three Ecosystem Expeditions this fall to start the conversation on how to take action to combat climate change in our own backyards and communities. Each Expedition will share how different local ecosystems will be affected by climate change, including hands-on activities for youth and actions each of us can take to make our water and communities more climate resilient.  Register below!

The First Parish Norwell Climate Action Team was established in 2021 to identify and implement activities to help mitigate the impacts of climate change and to assist communities under threat from changes in their local environment. We are thrilled to announce the NSRWA is the recipient of the Climate Action Team’s first grant geared towards environmental stewardship and sustainability for our new program Climate Conversations Lead to Action.

In addition to the three Ecosystem Expeditions, the NSRWA will finish the program by working with the First Parish Community members to build a rain garden at the church to cleanse and reclaim rainwater into our aquifers and serve as a demonstration of how easy and fun it is to build a rain garden at home! All are welcome to attend.  Please register for one or the entire Climate Conversations Lead to Action series and get ready to take action!
