It was great to bring the community together in person again! A beautiful but balmy 87 degree day ensured a fun time was had by all at the 31st Annual NSRWA Great River Race. And it didn’t rain! This year there were two ways to race – virtually and at the live race on Saturday, August 7th. There were 75 racers in 57 boats including stand up paddle boards.

The race brought in nearly $20,000, with the FundRacers raising more than $4,000. The top FundRacers were 1) Laurie Galvin, 2) Josh and Rachel Hoch, 3) Henry and Sally Hermann. There’s still time to lend your support, simply go to our website and make your gift to get 2,500 children and adults outdoors to explore nature and have an experience they’ll never forget!

“We had a blast doing the Great River Race of 2021, it was so much fun and great to see so many people enjoying the day on the water. There’s no better way to enjoy the North River, one of the most beautiful waterways in our area. We fund-raced because we are excited to spread the word about NSRWA, get more of our friends and family outdoors and on the North River, as well as other amazing outdoor areas on the South Shore.” ~ Josh and Rachel Hoch, Fundracers

Thank you to everyone who helped make this race a success this year. There were 74 volunteers doing everything from unloading boats, driving shuttles, and running our party after the race. A special thanks to the Pembroke Fire Department, the Marshfield Harbormaster, and the Norwell Police.

We are grateful to all of our sponsors who make such an impact locally with your support! These wonderful sponsors directly benefit our annual education programs to educate children and adults about water and connect people to the outdoors. It was great to have Indie-Ferm and JC’s Ice Cream at our after-race party at Luddam’s Ford Park.

Thank you to all of our sponsors, please support them with your business:
